4.14 - Goodbye, Iowa

Buffy finds out about Adam.

***

I think this whole Adam storyline is lame. I also think that the science versus magic or whatever you choose to call it...the Initiative VS Buffy, is very misguided. It would have been fine for 3 or 4 episodes, but they're hanging their whole season on it.
I think maybe this season, the writers have lost their way a bit. There's still some fantastic episodes here, but to go in this direction was not the best course of action. People don't want to see Buffy fighting robots, they want to see her fighting ancient evils and using battle axes, swords, and spears.

At any rate, what we have here is a bit dull for me to get through. Adam gets out, he kills some people, Buffy has to find him and stop him. What makes this more difficult is the fact that Riley is off his meds that they secretly feed him in the Initiative, so he's acting wildly unpredictable.

Yawn.

Yeah. I think the Adam arc is lame also...However, this season seems to be more about the characters themselves as opposed to the big bad. The best thing to come out of the science arc is Spike's chip. Is this the one with the Sushi pajamas! Giles on the beachball etc.
