Wood hates Spike and wants him dead, still...Wood gives a bag to Buffy that he hasn't opened in a long time (convenient) and it has a thing that creates a gateway to the desert world that they've been getting a lot of mileage out of since season 4. These old dudes offer Buffy more power by making her less human and she refuses. Then they show her what she is up against and we see thousands of the ultimate vampire guys waiting to wreak havoc.
Meanwhile, Spike has to track down a demon that came through when Buffy went to the desert set, and to do it he has to get back in touch with the big bad within him. It's a kodak moment.
I don't think even Doug Petrie can save this mess now.

Kennedy- "Is that what he does best, getting thrown through the ceiling". Someone PLEASE feed this chicky to the hellmouth directly. Like her and her whiney girl scouts are going to go get the demon back?!? "I know you're the Big Bad, but we're trained". Yeah, for like a week in the backyard. What an army...Wood throws a couple ninja stars at the thing, and Kennedy plows on in with a sword, then gets tossed. And I'm even sick of Willow and her all of a sudden can't even do magic. Is this the same girl who f-ed everybody up last season? I know she's on the mend or whatever, but she acts like she knows diddley-squat about the whole wiccan thing. Quite a mess. The legacy of the slayer is now the history of some poor native girl who got raped by a demon with 3 old men watching. They would of been better off with the Dark Willow vs the First finale. Or just the core group, NOT THESE WHINEY POTENTIALS!!! "Potential" what a buzz word, wish I was a "Potential"
